In 2004, when we first started, petrol price in Singapore is probably (I am trying to recall..) at S$ 1.35 per litre for 95 octane; and our neighbour was probably pumping at RM 1.19 across the Straits of Johore.

Today (31 Oct 2007) as we meet, Oil per barrel is US$96 (give and take); and Shell in Singapore is offering a shade below S$ 1.80 for 95 Octane! and our neighbour is probably doing RM 1.39!

My friends, it is worthwhile to cross the bridge, doing some sight-seeing, eat some nice food, enjoying the North-South highways (without ERP - do you notice that this proven Invented in Singapore technology is now biting your rear ends where the wallet is kept?), and them pumping full tank on the way back humming to Sing-A-Poor, oh My Soul!
